Eagle Project Approvals As of September 1, 2007, all Eagle projects will now be approved by the Palmyra District Advancement Committee on the first and third Thursday of each month at the Spanish Fork East Stake Center. Each scout should select an Eagle Project Counselor in their stake. They will help the scout with the following:
Each Stake will have 4-6 adults trained to be Eagle Project Counselors. A scout who is ready to get his Eagle project approved will only need to set up a time to meet with one of these Eagle Project Counselors and have his project reviewed. This Eagle Project Counselor will give instructions to the scout to help him demonstrate leadership during his Eagle project, and will help the scout understand all that he needs to do to complete the project. The Eagle Project Counselor WILL NOT approve the eagle project. Approval is done by the Palmyra District Advancement Committee. After the scout has completed his Eagle Project, he will then contact this same Eagle Project Counselor to set up a time to meet with him/or her to help in the completion of all the remaining paperwork required to be submitted at the Eagle Board of Review. The Eagle Project Counselor must sign a specific form indicating that all the required paperwork is in order and the scout is now ready to be presented to the Eagle Board of Review. This form is to be submitted to the Eagle Board along with all the other required forms.
