Timberline Leadership Camp - This 6-day leadership course is open to Boy Scouts ages 12-13. Requirements are to be a First Class Scout. There are many courses that a scout can chose from. It is recommended that a scout sign up for the course offered in his own district. Each district in the UNPC offers Timberline courses. This is a leadership course where scouts are recommended by their leaders as current or potential boy leaders in their Troop. This course is equivalent to the Wood Badge course offered for adults. Each participant learns the skills of being a good leader, how to organize and carry out projects, how to work with people, and how to resolve problems that arise. It is a great experience for each boy scout who attends. It will help a boy develop personal skills that will help him not only in scouting but in his schooling and family life. The cost is around $110.00. For more information on the Timberline courses offered check the Training page for a Link to the Utah National Parks Council Timberline page. All of the course dates are controlled by the council. All scout leaders should select at least three scouts from their Troop to attend Timberline each year.
